BREASTPLATE of JUDGMENT

 

Exodus 28:2

King James Version

2 And thou shalt make holy garments 

for Aaron thy brother 

for glory and for beauty.

GOD commanded Moses to make  holy garments for Aaron, the priest, who is to serve the LORD.

Aaron is the brother of Moses, and Miriam.

What does it have to do with governments of today?

You will see how GOD governs.

His organization, His love for beauty.

As well as purity, perfection, and precision.

Everything is symbolic, as well as spiritual.

Let SPIRIT and Scripture show us.

For this is connected with the 12 tribes of Israel.

Exodus 28:3

King James Version

3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, 

whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, 

that they may make Aaron's garments 

to consecrate him, 

that he may minister unto me 

in the priest's office.

Exodus 28:4

King James Version

4 And these are the garments 

which they shall make; 

a breastplate, 

and an ephod, 

and a robe, 

and a broidered coat, 

a mitre, 

and a girdle: 

and they shall make holy garments 

for Aaron thy brother, 

and his sons, 

that he may minister unto me 

in the priest's office.

For this post, we shall focus on the "breastplate of judgment":

15 And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment 

with cunning work; 

after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; 

of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, 

and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.

Exodus 28:16

16 Foursquare it shall be being doubled; 

a span shall be the length thereof, 

and a span shall be the breadth thereof.

Exodus 28:17-20

17 And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, 

even four rows of stones: 

the first row shall be 

a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: 

this shall be the first row.

18 And the second row shall be 

an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.

19 And the third row 

a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.

20 And the fourth row 

a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: 

they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.

with the names of the children of Israel, 

twelve, 

according to their names, 

like the engravings of a signet; 

every one with his name shall they be 

according to the twelve tribes.

chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.

23 And thou shalt make upon the breastplate 

two rings of gold, 

and shalt put the two rings 

on the two ends of the breastplate.

24 And thou shalt put 

the two wreathen chains of gold 

in the two rings 

which are on the ends of the breastplate.

Exodus 28:25

25 And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains 

thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, 

and put them on the shoulderpieces 

of the ephod before it.

26 And thou shalt make two rings of gold, 

and thou shalt put them upon the two ends 

of the breastplate in the border thereof, 

which is in the side of the ephod inward.

27 And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, 

and shalt put them on the two sides 

of the ephod underneath, 

toward the forepart thereof, 

over against the other coupling thereof, 

above the curious girdle of the ephod.

Exodus 28:28

28 And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof 

unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, 

that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, 

and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.

Exodus 28:29

29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel 

in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, 

when he goeth in unto the holy place, 

for a memorial before the Lord continually.

Exodus 28:30

30 And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment 

the Urim and the Thummim; 

and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, 

when he goeth in before the Lord: 

and Aaron shall bear the judgment 

of the children of Israel upon his heart 

before the Lord continually.

The 12 tribes, and their "stones":

1. Reuben -- sardius

2. Simeon -- topaz

3. Levi -- carbuncle

4. Judah -- emerald

5. Zebulun -- sapphire

6. Issachar -- diamond

7. Dan -- ligure

8. Gad -- agate

9. Asher -- amethyst

10. Naphtali -- beryl

11. Joseph -- onyx

12. Benjamin -- jasper

Pay close attention to the last two tribes, and their stones.

For SPIRIT is leading me to discover something.

Which pertains to Bible prophecy, and the end times.

All because of a "WOLF dream" I had seven days ago.

Allow me to follow the clues, and leads given by SPIRIT.

I'm taking it a step at a time, making sure I get it right.

Galatians 5:26

envying one another.

What is the state of the world today?

What is the state of governments today?

What is the state of personal relationships today?

Is there peace, love, joy, harmony?

Or, is it chaotic, confusing, and cruel?

Surely, we know the answer to that.

What causes strife?

FIRST, what is "strife"?

Merriam-Webster defines it as:

: bitter sometimes violent conflict or dissension

: an act of contention : FIGHT, STRUGGLE

: exertion or contention for superiority

SECONDLY, what does the Bible say about "strife"?

You will find these illuminating:

Proverbs 10:12

12 Hatred stirreth up strifes: 

but love covereth all sins.

Proverbs 16:28

28 A froward man soweth strife: 

and a whisperer separateth chief friends.

Proverbs 17:14

14 The beginning of strife 

is as when one letteth out water: 

therefore leave off contention, 

before it be meddled with.

Proverbs 20:3

3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: 

but every fool will be meddling.

In SUMMARY, "strife" can be attributed to:

hatred

A froward man

contention

the fool

the scorner

the talebearer

the contentious man

He that is of a proud heart

An angry man

a furious man

works of the flesh

the proud

men of corrupt minds

foolish and unlearned questions

bitter envying

earthly, sensual, devilish works

lusts that war in your members

The seriousness of strife?

Here is GOD's stand:

Proverbs 6:16-19

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: 

yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, 

a lying tongue, 

and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, 

feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, 

and he that soweth discord among brethren.

When shall we change our ways?

Have we  not learned from our wars?

Have we not learned from Scripture?

Jeremiah 8:9

9 The wise men are ashamed, 

they are dismayed and taken: 

lo, they have rejected the word of the Lord; 

and what wisdom is in them?

It takes a born again, to know better.

We always turn to JESUS.

In Him is our peace.

He is PRINCE of PEACE.

Isaiah 9:6

6 For unto us a child is born, 

unto us a son is given: 

and the government shall be upon his shoulder: 

and his name shall be called 

Wonderful, 

Counsellor, 

The mighty God, 

The everlasting Father, 

The Prince of Peace.

The SPIRITUAL government

 

Mark 6:1

King James Version

6 And he went out from thence, 

and came into his own country; 

and his disciples follow him.

How is the world being run today?

Are governments successful?

Are people happy?

Are people being served?

Observe how JESUS created His government.

With specific instructions, glorifying GOD alone.

This, in sharp contrast to how the world is being run.

Matthew 10:1

10 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, 

he gave them power against unclean spirits, 

to cast them out, 

and to heal all manner of sickness 

and all manner of disease.

Matthew 10:5-6

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth,

and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

The world's hope is in JESUS.

In having a spiritual government.

With the Triune GOD in it, of it, by it.

If we don't aspire to have such a government, then we'll keep having the governments we've been having.

Job 12:12-13

12 With the ancient is wisdom; 

and in length of days understanding.

13 With him is wisdom and strength,

he hath counsel and understanding.

Who can we trust these days?

Especially in these days of chaos?

Where nothing seems to make sense anymore.

Where it seems everyone follows their own desires.

Are our governments trustworthy?

Who really cares for the everyday man?

What does Scripture say?

Psalm 146:3-4

3 Put not your trust in princes, 

nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 His breath goeth forth, 

he returneth to his earth; 

in that very day his thoughts perish.

SPIRIT and Scripture is certain who we can trust.

On something definite, and permanent:

Psalm 146:5-10

5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, 

whose hope is in the Lord his God:

6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, 

and all that therein is: 

which keepeth truth for ever:

7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed:

The Lord looseth the prisoners:

8 The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: 

the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: 

the Lord loveth the righteous:

9 The Lord preserveth the strangers;

2 Peter 2:17

What is your government like?

Would it be something like this?

If your government is like that, don't be surprised.

Such is the state of the world.

It reflects who we follow.

Who we have given our allegiance to.

Believers in JESUS, know how to live, love, and govern.

Unbelievers are ruled by a different god.

And with it, the resulting chaos.

Of course, at any given moment, unbelievers can have a change of heart.

They just have to want it enough.
