Some ESSENTIAL research

1 Corinthians 3:8

King James Version

8 Now he that planteth

and he that watereth are one:

and every man

shall receive his own reward

according to his own labour.

Just wondering.

How did all this trouble with Iran began?

Which American presidents interacted with Iran?

This was the question which tugged at this born again watchman's heart for about a week now.

So the HOLY SPIRIT gave me the idea to check what Wikipedia had to say about the various American presidents, and their experience/policies regarding Iran.

Here are some excerpts so we can better understand the ongoing dynamics (click the links to know more):

Jimmy Carter and Iran:

"On November 15, 1977, Carter pledged that his administration would continue positive relations between the US and Iran, calling its contemporary status "strong, stable and progressive".[259] On December 31, 1977, he called Iran under the Shah an "island of stability".[260][261]

"On November 4, 1979, a group of Iranian students took over the US Embassy in Tehran. The students belonged to the Muslim Student Followers of the Imam's Line and supported the Iranian revolution.[264] Fifty-two American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for the next 444 days. They were freed immediately after Ronald Reagan succeeded Carter as president on January 20, 1981."

"Released in 2017, a declassified memo produced by the CIA in 1980 concluded "Iranian hardliners—especially Ayatollah Khomeini" were "determined to exploit the hostage issue to bring about President Carter's defeat in the November elections."

Ronald Reagan and Iran-Contra affair:

"By mid-1985, Hezbollah began to take American hostages in Lebanon, holding seven of them in reaction to the United States' support of Israel."[338]

"Reagan procured the release of seven American hostages held by Hezbollah by selling American arms to Iran, then engaged in the Iran–Iraq War, in hopes that Iran would pressure Hezbollah to release the hostages.[339] The Reagan administration sold over 2,000 missiles to Iran without informing Congress; Hezbollah released four hostages but captured an additional six Americans. On Oliver North's initiative, the administration redirected the proceeds from the missile sales to the Contras."[339]

Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush on Iran:

"Clinton sought to continue the Bush administration's policy of limiting Iranian influence in the Middle East, which he laid out in the dual containment strategy. In 1994, Clinton declared that Iran was a "state sponsor of terrorism" and a "rogue state", marking the first time that an American president used that term.[237] Subsequent executive orders heavily sanctioned Iran's oil industry and banned almost all trade between U.S. companies and the Iranian government. In February 1996, the Clinton administration agreed to pay Iran US$131.8 million (equivalent to $270.56 million in 2025) in settlement to discontinue a case brought by Iran in 1989 against the U.S. in the International Court of Justice after the shooting down of Iran Air Flight 655 by the U.S. Navy guided missile cruiser."[238]

George W. Bush on "war on terror":

"In Bush's September 20 speech, he declared that "our war on terror begins with Al Qaeda, but it does not end there."[239][240] In his January 29, 2002 State of the Union Address, he asserted that an "axis of evil" consisting of North Korea, Iran, and Ba'athist Iraq was "arming to threaten the peace of the world" and "pose[d] a grave and growing danger".[241] The Bush Administration asserted both a right and the intention to wage preemptive war, or preventive war."[242]

Barack Obama and Iran nuclear talks:

"In November 2013, the Obama administration opened negotiations with Iran to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons, which included an interim agreement. Negotiations took two years with numerous delays, with a deal being announced on July 14, 2015. The deal titled the "Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action" saw sanctions removed in exchange for measures that would prevent Iran from producing nuclear weapons. While Obama hailed the agreement as being a step towards a more hopeful world, the deal drew strong criticism from Republican and conservative quarters, and from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.[408][409][410] In addition, the transfer of $1.7 billion in cash to Iran shortly after the deal was announced was criticized by the Republican party. The Obama administration said that the payment in cash was because of the "effectiveness of U.S. and international sanctions."[411] In order to advance the deal, the Obama administration shielded Hezbollah from the Drug Enforcement Administration's Project Cassandra investigation regarding drug smuggling and from the Central Intelligence Agency."[412][413]

Donald J. Trump and Iran:

"As part of the 2025 Iran–Israel war, Trump ordered the bombing of Iranian nuclear sites in June.[499] His plan for a Gaza ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas was signed in October 2025, leading to the creation of the Board of Peace.[500] In February 2026, Trump authorized joint U.S./Israeli air strikes on Iran[501] and sent aircraft carriers and other combat ships to the Middle East. Israeli aerial bombs killed Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders; Iran retaliated with rocket attacks on neighboring countries."[502]

It's been said Iran will try to outlast the Trump presidency, hoping they can influence the next president.

But president Trump didn't get this far for nothing.

He's not about to give up his America first agenda, or abandon countries seeking freedom.

GOD chose him for this moment in time.

That he may help Israel, too.

Trump is used to being maligned.

What is another three years to suffer mainstream media's attacks?

The man is on a mission and only he has the guts, and nerve, to do so.

Let's not forget most nations are against Israel and America.

Why else are these two militarily-superior nations banding together?

They're outnumbered, but not necessarily outgunned.

Sure, Trump and Netanyahu have paved the way for the Iranian people to gain their freedom.

They've wiped out the brutal naval and military capability of the Islamic regime, as well as its leadership.

As of this writing, both countries are on their fourth week of military campaign.

With no help forthcoming from NATO, European countries, and other Commonwealth countries.

Israel and America are practically on their own in this war, save for The Only Power which is the GRACE of GOD, of course.

And soon, at a time crown prince Reza Pahlavi signals, the people of Iran can safely take to the streets, and take their country back.

At the moment, the current regime has hired other thugs to silence the people.

But the brave people of Iran continue to hope for their freedom.

GOD-willing, they shall experience the long-sought-for freedom from 47 years now.

If the Islamic regime can wipe out at least 40,000 of its own people; imprison, torture, and abuse thousands of others, imagine what it would do to the rest of the free nations who resist them.

Israel and America know what they're doing.

The world remains asleep, and belligerent, thinking it's just Trump's ego.

May they not find out too late that Trump is right all along.

Will there be ever peace in the Middle East?

Sure, if everyone believed in CHRIST right this moment.

Only through JESUS can there be real, lasting peace.
